Key Values

  • Maximum safety & uptime β€” zero incident execution, zero environmental incidents on large-scale infrastructure, and zero ground disturbance incidents in 4,000 crossings.
  • Significant cost & efficiency gains β€” 90% under-budget success, lean construction methods trimming up to 19% off budgets without quality or timeline compromises.
  • Reliable execution at scale β€” 2,376,000 feet (450 km) of pipeline installed (4" to 12"), 200+ well sites, and complex tie-ins/compressors in wetlands, muskeg, mountains, and tunnels.

HERE'S WHAT I DO FOR COMPANIES

64.5% boe/d production increase through combining new and re-activated sites

COMPANY NAME came to me when they bought a field of retired oil wells… We got the boe/d up 65% in just five months and secured the financing. The site went on to produce a hefty ROI and I've been hired multiple times by COMPANY NAME since.

Recent and Selected Major Projects (2013–2022)

TC Energy Blainville Compressor Station – 2020–2021 – Blainville, Quebec
Served as Senior Civil Inspector for a major new 19 MW compressor station. Oversaw installation of 1,200 mΒ³ concrete foundations, 1,100 end-bearing piles driven to 37 m depth in challenging Leda Champlain Sea Clay, 250 sheet piles, 4.5 km wetland access road with two large bridges (75t & 120t), and 145 kV substation while ensuring full compliance with drawings and geotechnical specifications.
TC Energy Groundbirch Compressor Station – 2019–2020 – NE British Columbia (Dawson Creek)
Served as Senior Civil Inspector for a two-unit greenfield compressor station. Oversaw earthworks, installation of 800 friction piles, and placement of 600 mΒ³ of structural concrete. Identified gaps in pile tracking and concrete quality control; developed and implemented a new piling management log and concrete surveillance report (CSA A23.1-14), while verifying critical-lift plans and overhead crane load testing.
TransCanada Pipelines 56 km Mainline – 2016–2017 – NE Alberta (Wabasca)
Served as Senior Pipeline Inspector and Assistant Construction Manager on a 56 km 30" carbon steel pipeline (44 km through muskeg). Oversaw excavation, lowering-in, backfill, and buoyancy control in the most challenging 15 km muskeg section. Directed critical integrity dig after smart pig anomaly detection, safely removing rock and verifying pipe ovality. Successfully completed the project during spring breakup using ATVs and helicopters.
TransCanada Pipelines Deep Valley North 48” Mainline – 2021–2022 – NE Alberta (Grande Prairie)
Served as Senior Pipeline Inspector on a major 48" mainline project. Implemented quality assurance procedures, verified LEMS data for all crews, monitored excavation and ground disturbance compliance, performed holiday testing of coatings, verified buoyancy control devices and as-built surveys, and supervised force account teams of 40+ personnel while ensuring full adherence to safety regulations, project timelines, and API 1169 standards.
Paramount Resources 14 km 8" Pipeline – 2013–2014 – NW Alberta (Grande Prairie)
Served as Assistant Chief Inspector on a 14 km 8" pipeline project involving 50 HDD bores ranging from 125 m to 568 m in length, with 85% featuring elevation changes up to 300 m through highly variable subsurface conditions. Led daily inspector meetings, conducted safety training resulting in zero lost-time incidents, and developed the site-specific Emergency Response Plan as Prime Contractor representative.
Paramount Resources HTHP Well Tie-In – 2013 – NE British Columbia (Fort Nelson)
Served as Construction Manager for the tie-in of a high-temperature high-pressure (HTHP) well (>130Β°C, >9,000 psi). Assembled team of environmental consultants, surveyors, and Fort Nelson First Nation representatives; integrated Indigenous knowledge into pipeline routing, reducing environmental disturbances by 15% and community complaints. Spearheaded strategic pivot to 650 m HDD segment to avoid seasonal freeze-up, implemented Quality Management System (25% defect reduction), and completed pre-commissioning and well startup.
Gibson Energy 300,000 bbl Tank Farm – 2010–2011 – Central Alberta (Hardisty)
Served as Facility Senior Civil Inspector during construction of a 300,000 bbl storage tank. Oversaw piling installation for piping support, fabrication of 30" piping throughout the tank farm, daylighting of buried facilities, and sheet piling for road crossings.
Trans Mountain Pipeline 20” Valve Consolidation – 2000–2001 – Bellingham, Washington State
Served as Construction Site Manager for a 20” valve consolidation project. Coordinated consulting engineers and contractors for construction of containment slab, removal of buried 20” valves, installation of new above-ground valves with associated piping, and erection of a steel frame building with crane beams. Implemented change notice system to protect owner interests when the contractor failed to meet contractual obligations.
